Receiving and Sending Faxes Using Email

Sending faxes

Sending faxes from Outlook, Lotus Notes, Entourage, Thunderbird, IMail, or any email client is easy with GoldFax. Just email a message to GoldFax with the fax number in the email address.

GoldFax is smart. It will take the Subject, Message, and To: from the email and put them on the cover page. If you include attachments, GoldFax will automatically turn them into fax pages.

Microsoft Exchange Connector

GoldFax has a special connector for Microsoft Exchange. From Microsoft Outlook you can select the Business Fax number from your Contacts.

GoldFax gives you complete control and visibility into your faxing

  • GoldFax can notify you when the fax has been sent or if it failed (too many busy signals or invalid fax number).
  • From the GoldFax user interface you can see a list of faxes you have sent and their status - Pending, Sent, Failed - and take action to resend any fax if needed.

Receiving faxes

Receiving faxes into Outlook, Lotus Notes, Entourage, Thuderbird, IMail, or any web email software is easy with GoldFax. Without any special telephone setup, GoldFax can send PDF or TIFF images of faxes to a user, who can then route them to the correct recipient by looking at the cover page, a distribution list, or an network folder.

GoldFax can automatically route received faxes based on the called fax number, caller-id, etc. (DNIS, DID, TSID, CSID). Using DID (Direct Inward Dial) numbers, you can give everyone a personal, confidential fax number that allows GoldFax to route faxes directly to their Inbox. DID numbers are very inexpensive virtual phone numbers (usually less than $1 per month) that route into a much smaller amount of real telephone lines.

With GoldFax you avoid time-wasting use of manual fax machines

NO MORE printing out documents, running to the fax machine, waiting for your turn, waiting until the fax goes through, worrying about privacy, filing faxes, and searching for sent or received faxes.
