Send faxes from any Microsoft Office application

Sending faxes from Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is easy with GoldFax. Just print any document to the GoldFax virtual printer on your network.

GoldFax will prompt the user for the fax recipent's information (name, company, fax number) and the cover page subject and message. You can also select contacts from a GoldFax personal phonebook, system-wide phonebook, Outlook contacts, or even from one of your databases GoldFax can access.

Send faxes from any desktop application

Sending faxes from any application (Invoices, Purchase Orders, Bills of Lading, Customer Records, etc.) is easy with GoldFax. If you can print from the application, you can fax.

Just Print to the GoldFax printer on your network. You will be prompted for the fax recipent's information (name, company, phone number) and the cover page subject and message. You can also pick contacts from a GoldFax personal phonebook, system-wide phonebook, or even from one of your databases GoldFax can access.

For your own in-house applications, you can easily add a "FAX button or link" using GoldFax's API (Application Programming Interface for .NET, ActiveX, WebService, etc.).

Send faxes from Email

Sending faxes from Outlook, Lotus Notes, Entourage, Thuderbird, IMail, or any email client is easy with GoldFax. Just email a message to GoldFax with the fax number in the email address.

GoldFax is smart. It will take the Subject, Message, and To: from the email and put them on the cover page. If you include attachments, GoldFax will automatically turn them into fax pages.

GoldFax has a special connector for Microsoft Exchange. From Microsoft Outlook you can select the Business Fax number from your Contacts.

GoldFax gives you complete control and visibility into your faxing

• You can add other documents to a fax - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, etc. They are automatically turned into fax pages.
• GoldFax can notify you when the fax has been sent or if it failed (too many busy signals or invalid fax number).
• You can see a list of faxes you have sent and their status - Pending, Sent, Failed - and take action to resend any fax if needed.

The GoldFax virtual printer driver on your PC communicates with the GoldFax server software running in your data center or server room. The GoldFax server has a fax board (for local phone lines or telephone PBX) or Fax over IP software in it that communicates to your VoIP gateway.
