Sending Faxes from Folders - the GoldFax Folder Monitor

GoldFax has a special option, the Production API Tookit. One of its many features is the capability for GoldFax to monitor one or more network folders to see if they contain any documents. When a document is placed in the folder GoldFax will take the document, find a matching metadata file with the fax number, To, From, Subject, and Message then render the document to a fax image and send it to the phone number in the metadata XML file.

This capability gives unlimited power to applications to send faxes. If an application can save a document to a folder and save a file with the fax number, GoldFax will do the rest. GoldFax will send notifications of success, failure, and retries to the user in the metadata and update the GoldFax status file.
