Sending Faxes from Desktop Applications

Sending faxes from any application (Invoices, Purchase Orders, Bills of Lading, Customer Records, etc.) is easy with GoldFax. If you can print from the application, you can fax.

Just Print to the GoldFax printer on your network. You will be prompted for the fax recipent's information (fax number, name, company) and the cover page subject and message. You can also pick contacts from a GoldFax personal phonebook, system-wide phonebook, or even from one of your databases GoldFax can access.

For your own in-house applications, you can easily add a "FAX button or link" using GoldFax's API (Application Programming Interface for .NET, ActiveX, WebService, etc.).

GoldFax gives you complete control and visibility into your faxing

• You can add other documents to a fax - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, etc. They are automatically turned into fax pages.
• GoldFax can notify you when the fax has been sent or if it failed (too many busy signals or wrong number).
• You can see a list of faxes you have sent and their status - Pending, Sent, Failed. Just click on the fax to view it. You can also resend any fax if needed.

The GoldFax virtual printer driver on your PC communicates with the GoldFax server software running in your data center or server room. The GoldFax server has a fax board or modem (for local phone lines or telephone system connection) or Fax over IP software that communicates with your VoIP gateway.
